I was curious to see if I could replicate the same look from any one of these cameras. I wanted to see if I could make a shot from a point and shoot that would look identical to a shot with a full frame sensor SLR that looked the same in print or screen and most regular sizes. My results surprised me! [Continue Reading...]

In America we celebrate Thanksgiving on the last Thursday of November. You can read about the significance and origin of Thanksgiving holiday here. I am thankful for my readership and the growing number of people I meet through this site. Our connection and enthusiasm for excellence in our photographic craft really makes this world seem a lot smaller! I am amazed with every single email I get, especially when they are from far off places i've only dreamed of visiting. I look forward to our continued interactions! Thank you! [Continue Reading...]

The tree was a massive tree that had finally broken and fallen over. The leaf fell from a tree and landed so perfectly...its season now over. Both large and small, they had reached the end of their life. The warm ray of light from the setting sun streaked across both. The light that nourished both for so long would soon be setting. They return to where they came and the cycle begins again.

This post comes in memory of a friend and very talented artist/designer/architect that just passed away this week. [Continue Reading...]
